What we need:
The Process Engineer is a member of the Materials R&D group with responsibility for providing hands-on process engineering expertise to new product development programs and product improvement initiatives. Primary process areas of responsibility include compounding, web coating and handling, and slitting operations.
What you’ll be doing:
- Performing process development and scale-up activities in support of new product developments.
- Conducting process improvement initiatives and custom product developments while interfacing with floor production personnel and operations management in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Investigating product quality issues; institutionalizing corrective actions.
- Supporting research projects that deliver business results through data-driven decision-making.
- Working within cross-functional teams to enable new product development project success.
- Executing various project activities in support of a defined Stage Gate process.
- Executing experiments to evaluate and optimize performance or process attributes.
- Developing an understanding of process capability, design selection criteria, and/or structure-property relationships for developed products.
- Maintaining proper documentation of technical and experimental activities.
What you’ll need to be successful:
- Bachelor's degree in Physical Sciences or Engineering
- 1-5 years relevant industrial product or process development experience
